Heather Rooney

Heather Rooney is an ambitious and strategic Graphic Designer and Illustrator who started working in the design industry in 2015. With an interest in teaching and helping others to learn, she became the Graphic Design tutor for the London Art College.

After gaining a Distinction in a Foundation Diploma, she went on to receive a First Class BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from the University for the Creative Arts. After graduating, she quickly started working in the design industry and has grown her skills and knowledge as a design professional.

Heather currently lives in Essex working as a Graphic Designer for a branding agency with specialist knowledge in brand, insurance, finance, rewards and digital customer engagement. She works closely with the creative director to create innovative brands, strategies and propositions from the ground up.

She is now at the forefront of the creation process, from brainstorming initial ideas, to creating the final design outcome. Her recent years have seen her producing work for clients such as Endsleigh, Admiral, More Than, Thomas Cook, Post Office and other large clients.

Being a keen Illustrator as well as Graphic Designer keeps her working in a more artistic and traditional way, trying to approach design in a more hands-on way.

She has worked on projects that require typography, illustration, logo creation, brochure design, composition as well as the more software heavy side with web/app design and UI/UX. As her current day-to-day job requires her to use an array of design software, such as the Adobe Suite, Sketch and Figma, she has a broad knowledge of the ever-changing design field.
